People who are successfully losing weight - Prosper Diet Program

Losing weight is generally never as straightforward as eating less and choosing a different diet, or just doing more. Let’s be real: all of these strategies are always combined with warm discipline, a supportive network of friends and family, and all kinds of clever tips and tricks you can use to help yourself along the way. There is after all a reason for simply leaving an oversized number of dieters, and approximately 80 percent of people who lose weight successfully get the most out of it. The loss of weight is tough.

If, however, you are determined to lose weight, a study in the journal Obesity contains some interesting data that you can potentially use to facilitate your own weight loss and illustrates the importance of keeping track of your weight loss goals through all of your digital tools.

The results from almost 40 weight loss trials carried out over 10 years of overweight or obese people were analyzed by researchers from Stanford University and almost 70% of the types of digital self-monitoring were observed. At the end of the study, there were successful weight losses of over 70 percent of dieters who used digital self-monitoring technology to lose weight. Web sites (66%), followed by apps (33%), wearable (11%), electronics (12%) and text messaging were the most common technology used in weight loss (12 percent ).

“The increased self-monitoring of behavioral interventions by way of digital health is connected with increased weight loss,” the study concludes. “This association held no matter which domains were monitored by itself or which digital methods it used.”

The study also observes that “in digital rather than on paper, engagement rates were higher.”

However, there is a warning. The success of weight loss in digital self-monitoring in the short term has been most successful. Those who have successfully followed up and recorded their progress in less than a year lost their weight with a success of 84 percent. Those with only 47 percent success over a period of more than one year. “The long duration of the intervention has tempered this relationship,” the research explains, “suggesting that weight loss self-monitoring may be less effective over time because of a decreasing level of engagement, or because weight loss rates are slow despite similar engagement levels.”

However, the data shows that you would be wise to sign up for a site to help you track your progress and goals if you are committed to achieving your goals. Jinan Banna, Ph.D., RD, CDN, a professor of nutrition at The University of Hawaii at Manoa, says that “to indulge” in your favorite foods is one of the best ways to keep a disciplined diet — good, healthy twists. “If you like ice cream, use banana, almond milking, peanut butter, and ice to try blending your own simple cream,” she says.

Always Pack Your Gym Bag the Night Before

If you work out tomorrow morning, make it as frictionless and as easy as possible, get prepared for it tonight. “All you can find excuses for not go to the gym or to work on when you’re tired in the morning,” Allen Conrad, BS, DC, CSCS said. “It will help you to keep everything ready and packed in line with your agenda — time.” And if you want some great exercise inspiration, try The One Workout that leads to a 29% fat loss, says science.

Keep Your House Colder

A study in the Molecular Metabolism journal found that “cold ambient temperatures” encourage your body to produce more vitamin A, which helps your body convert the white fat of your body into brown fat (the good kind). Your body brings more energy when this happens than it stores as fat. And know that this incredible, four-second training actually works, says a new study, to get a piece of healthier living advice.

First thing in the morning, drink water

According to a study published in The Journal of Metabolism and Clinical Endocrinology, participating metabolic rates increased by 30 percent after drinking about two glasses of water. The scientists estimate a further 17,400 calories annually — a loss of weight of just five pounds — to raise water intake to just six cups per day.
